Das Theater Trier schreibt im Rahmen des Projekts „Exzellente Orchesterlandschaft Deutschland“ einen Kompositionswettbewerb aus. Es handelt sich dabei um ein konzertpädagogisches Projekt, bei dem bereits musizierende sowie nicht musikalisch ausgebildete Jugendliche (darunter möglichst auch Jugendliche mit Migrationshintergrund) ein eigens dafür komponiertes, thematisch ausgerichtetes Werk von ca. 45 Minuten aufführen, und zwar sowohl musizierend (mit Unterstützung durch MusikerInnen des Philharmonischen Orchesters Trier) als auch singend und tanzend.

Broadcasting on the French public Radio – France Musique (Radio France)

For the third time, Allmänna Sången and Anders Wall together with Gehrmans Musikförlag AB arrange the “Allmänna Sången and Anders Wall Composition Award”, a competition for female composers. The prize includes, in addition to a prize sum of SEK 50,000, that the contribution is premiered by Allmänna Sången and that it will be published by Gehrmans Musikförlag AB.

Undergraduate and (post)graduate composers are invited to participate in the Luxembourg Composition Academy, held between November 19 to 25 2018 at neimënster (historic Abbaye de Neumünster) in Luxembourg with the faculty consisting of the composers Joanna Bailie and Franck Bedrossian (University of California, Berkeley) as well as the Luxembourgish ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin.

QuattroPole organise la première édition du Prix de musique QuattroPole, en vue de récompenser les artistes des quatre villes dans le domaine de la musique.

Les villes de Luxembourg, Metz, Sarrebruck et Trèves coopèrent au sein d’une région frontalière marquée par une forte diversité culturelle. Dans leur différence et leur complémentarité, les scènes culturelles locales des quatre villes ont le potentiel de contribuer à un sentiment d’appartenance commun à la Grande Région et à l’intégration européenne.
