A new competition for young composers – a tribute to the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși
DATE LIMITE: 15.03.2021
The Pro Valores Association organizes the first edition of the International Compositon Contest “Infinity Column”, a tribute to the most important Romanian sculptor - Constantin Brâncuși.
The competition stands out because of its focus on Brâncuși’s work, which has to serve as inspiration for the composers when writing their musical pieces. However, the participants have the freedom to relate to any of Brâncuși’s sculptures, not only the “Infinity Column”, since the aim of the contest is not a musical transcription of one work, but to nurture a syncretic relationship between visual art and music.
