1st Mieczysław Karłowicz International Composers’ Competition

The Polish Society of Authors and Composers ZAiKS is happy to invite you to participate in the 1st Mieczysław Karłowicz International Composers’ Competition.
The competition prize fund is 100 000 PLN (around 22 000€); 1st prize – 50 000 PLN, 2nd – 30 000 PLN, and 3rd – 20 000 PLN.
The contest should inspire the composition for the full philharmonic orchestra, with the duration between 9 and 12 minutes. New and original works are expected, neither previously published nor performed or awarded in any other competitions.
Online submissions are open until 31 August 2020.
The results of the first stage will be announced in September; the works selected for the final stage will be premiered, and the overall winner announced, at the Szczecin Philharmonic on the 20th November 2020.
Apart from main prizes, the Audience Award as well as the Orchestra Award will be also conferred.
